Melanie Georger Memorial Scholarship
The Melanie Georger Memorial Scholarship honors a young aviator’s passion for flight by awarding a minimum of $5,000 annually to an active Ninety-Nines member in Western New York who demonstrates clear aviation goals and commitment to advancing her flight training. Applications for 2026 are due April 1st, 2026.
Finger Lakes Chapter Scholarship
The Finger Lakes Chapter Scholarship is awarded to an active female pilot or female student pilot residing in the Finger Lakes Region or Western New York. The 2026 award is $3,500, and deadline to submit is April 14th, 2026. Ask your Chapter Chair for more information!
New Jersey Chapter Scholarship
The New Jersey Chapter Scholarship is awarded to any female pilot or female student pilot eighteen years or older, training in New Jersey, who is a member of the 99s before the close of the application. Apply by completing the scholarship application form; submitting a personal essay; providing required documents; and obtaining a letter of recommendation.

The twice a year First Wings Award is a progressive award given to Student Pilot Members with a need for financial assistance to become licensed pilots. Applicant must be an official Student Pilot Member of The 99s by the submission deadline - there is a three month membership requirement. For more information, see The First Wings Award.

The annual Amelia Earhart (AE) Scholarship is awarded to deserving 99s with at least one year of membership, and with a need for financial assistance, so that they may complete advanced training and education to progress toward a specific goal in aviation and aerospace.
